Ahhh, Natalie! First, so jealous of your lake-view. And yes, having a spot dedicated solely to one task is a GREAT idea. Your mind associates that spot with writing and writing only.

And, yes, I’m trying to write and publish regularly as well. It’s hard, of course, with so many other commitments, but it’s been such a great experience. I’ve been blogging for 10 years, but mainly crafts and DIY. I’m new to Medium and it’s been a completely different, and SO rewarding, writing experience. The community here is so supportive as well. And I absolutely find inspiration in writing a great piece that gets some engagement, though I’m trying not to focus too much on the outward validation.
